My 3music awards nomination came as a surprise to me – Ruth Rufet Adjei

Renowned Ghanaian Gospel music sensation, Ruth Rufet Adjei, who also doubles as a Telecom Engineer has shared her excitement about her debut nomination for the 2021 3Music Awards.

Speaking on ATV’s ‘The Christian Entertainment Review’ with Nii Noi, the musician who couldn’t hide her joy expressed her gratitude to the organisers of the 3Music Awards for nominating her in the ‘Emerging Woman of the Year’ category.

‘It was a surprise to me. I had the flyer at dawn and I was wowed. All thanks to God and to you (Nii Noi) too, OB Nartey, Franky 5 and the entire team. I believe that anybody in that category equally deserves to be there; my sisters Jayana and Efe Grace. It is a good thing for the Gospel industry,’ Ruth Adjei noted.
When asked whether she was expecting more nominations, the ‘Oshidaa’ hit maker said, ‘I wasn’t expecting any nomination so it was actually a surprise.’

Ruth Adjei has earned a seat on ‘the table of men’ in the Gospel music space, after 7years of doing active music. Before Ruth Adjei launched her first album, ‘Mercy Seat’ in 2014, the Telecom Engineer Officer had had the privilege of backing a number of artists such as Diana Hamilton, Bernice Offei, Joe Mettle, Francis Adjei, Eugene Zuta, Ceccy Twum, Akesse Brempong, SP Kofi Sarpong, just to mention a few.

The song writer and gospel minstrel is out with a new video titled “OSHIDAA” and can be accessed on all digital platforms including her Youtube channel.
